• Effective 1 April 2023, due to the increased cost of administrative staff on Saturdays and Public Holidays, we have updated our consultation fees.  For concession card holders and patients <16yo or 75+, a standard consultation fee on a Saturday will incur an out-of-pocket fee of $25 ($66.20 upfront fee less $41.20 Medicare rebate).  Please refer to our Fees and Payments policy for full list of fees.  Please note, these patients will continue to be bulkbilled on weekdays.
• We are mixed billing. Please see our Fees & Payment Policy. Please note that non-attendances at your appointment will incur a $25.00 no-show fee. Any outstanding missed appointment fees must be paid prior to seeing a GP. Please call to enable us to fill your appointment slot at least 4 hours before your appointment.
• Why we changed to mixed billings.
• We no longer require face masks in the practice.
  Please remember that for non-urgent matters, you can call the radio doctor on (02) 4228 5522 who is available on weeknights (6pm – 6am), Saturday (12pm-Monday 6am), and public holidays (24 hours).

Illawarra Medical Services was established over 40 years ago and is a family practice located in the heart of Berkeley. Owned and operated by Dr. Neill Jover and Dr. Myrna Jover since 2005, Illawarra Medical Services is the only general medical practice in Berkeley. With 5 full-time and 3 part-time doctors, 4 practice nurses and 5 allied health professionals, Illawarra Medical Services is committed to the health and well-being of the Berkeley community. For your information, our allied health professionals includes a dietitian, two physiotherapists, and two podiatrists. Our practice has been selected by the University of Wollongong’s Graduate School of Medicine to participate in training both junior and senior medical students. With the patient’s consent, our medical students can assist in providing medical care under the supervision of one of our principal doctors.

Saturdays: 8.00am-12.00pm (walk-ins accepted until 11.30am)*
